Speculative Chic is an independent site about games and entertainment. We publish guides that answer specific questions: which games to play next, how to fix a common error, what a graphics setting actually does, and which order to read a long book series in. Games are our main focus, alongside books and comics, movies and TV, and music.

How we work

Facts that readers rely on are checked against primary sources before publication. Platforms, editions and release dates come from official store listings, developers and publishers. Sales figures appear only when a developer or publisher has announced them, and we say who announced them and when. Book lists and publication years are checked against publisher pages and established references. Where platforms and editions matter, guides state when their details were checked. Our full standards are in the editorial guidelines.
