Creating a Convention – MultiverseCon

I write a lot about conventions — preparing, attending, volunteering. For this month’s column, I thought folks might find it interesting to peek into the backstage of how a con gets made.

Multiverse Con is coming up next week, so the timing is really perfect. I run the WRITE Track for that convention and in this video, I talk about the process of creating the programming for the con. That is, all the panels, presentations, and workshops that go on during the daytime, not just for the WRITE Track.

If you’ve ever wondered about how events like this pull it all together, hit Play and find out!

I’m glad none of you beat each other up fighting over guests! 🙂 Great video, nice to hear about what it’s like from the track Director side.

(disclosure – I also work for Multiverse)

I think next year, instead of the MMA, it should be a bake-off. Whoever gets the most points for each baked good gets their pick of guests 😉
