Our guest for My Favorite Things on Monday was Merrie Destefano! Merrie released a new book this week, Valiant, but she took the time out of her busy schedule to share a few of the things that she loves best right now. What are those things? Yours truly was on deck for Tuesday with a review of Mira Grant’s Kingdom of Needle and Bone. A thousand thank yous and good wishes upon NetGalley and Subterranean Press for allowing me to read and review this ARC. This was a chilling little novella with lot of food for thought. Sherry Peters wrapped up her Year of Thrones! It’s been a banner week for project completion here at Spec Chic, and I’m so proud of our writers for carrying on with these, even when it got difficult! Check out Sherry’s final Year of Thrones post here (spoilers)!
To round out the week, Merrin announced what book we’ll be reading for January’s book club: Sharon Shinn’s Mystic and Rider! I’m looking forward to this one. We’ve also got the poll for February’s selection live and ready for your voting enjoyment. Go vote!
