Weekly Roundup, February 19-23, 2018

Hello, bonjour, buenos días, and HAPPY WEEKEND! *tosses confetti* As usual, we have been very busy bees throughout the week. I’m sure that you’re a busy person, yourself. That’s fine! Pack your bag and don’t forget to wind your watch! We’re going on a trip back into time!

Monday

By now, you know what Monday means. Monday means My Favorite Things! This time, our friend Janicu stopped by to share the things that she loves best right now. And those things are: “serialized comedies, funny superheroes, a childhood favorite brought to life, and hunting down ever-elusive books.” You are intrigued. I know you are. Go see what I’m talking about!

Tuesday

Calie Voorhis began Tuesday with the latest installment of Changing the Map. This month, Calie kicks open the attic door on V.C. Andrews. Moistly in the Attic is a fascinating glimpse into Andrews’ work and uses the word “moist” a lot. Feeling uncomfortable yet? Good!

On Tuesday afternoon, in our latest Sound Off!, a bunch of our contributors saw Black Panther! There will be spoilers, but they are clearly marked. Take a look at our thoughts! You want to read this. Somebody did the Kermit-flail.

Wednesday

Are you familiar with the term “dealbreaker”? Erin Bales has them, and if you aren’t conversant in the things on her list, you may not be destined to be her newest BFF.

On Wednesday afternoon, we shared an important announcement. We are looking for editors! Spread the word!

Thursday

HAIL NANCY O’TOOLE MESERVIER! She resolved to read Brandon Sanderson’s massive novel, Oathbringer in 2018, and she’s already done! Way to go, Nancy! Read her review! There may be spoilers, so read with care.

Friday

I’ve been reminding you for weeks, and the time has come. Our discussion of Nalo Hopkinson’s Brown Girl in the Ring debuted! Have you read this novel? Please join our discussion!

Book Club

In March, we’ll be reading Daggerspell by Katharine Kerr. Who knows what we’ll be reading in April? Go here to cast your vote for our next selection!

There you have it! What a great week! I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Remember to be excellent to each other.

And party on, dude.
