Weekly Roundup, December 10-14

Hello friends! A day late, and I apologize profusely. But, what’s done is done, and the past is gone, and etc. That said, why don’t we examine the past for a few minutes, to get us ready for the coming week!

Monday

Author Sara Dobie Bauer joined us on Monday for My Favorite Things. What intriguing blend were we treated to? Hint: “the best B-rated horror flick, characters who try so very hard not to fall in love, ‘wildly inappropriate’ cartoons, getting fan art of her own fiction, and crushing on a twenty-two-year-old Oscar nominee.” Check it out

Tuesday

We’re almost ready to say goodbye to 2018. Some of us are already finished with our Resolution Projects. Others are still in progress! Merrin got just a bit closer with her review of N.K. Jemisin’s The Fifth Season. (Spoilers.)

Wednesday

Andrea Judy got super into D&D this year, and this month shared a review of a gorgeous coffee table book all about the venerable game. Take a look at her review of Dungeons and Dragons Art & Arcana.

Thursday

Venessa Giunta did a double review for Thursday of The Wendy and the prequel short “Tigerlilja” for Thursday. Tip: Don’t read “Tigerlilja” before reading The Wendy, per Venessa’s recommendation. Here’s her review!

Friday

J.L. Gribble finished Madeline L’Engle’s Time Quintet with her review of An Acceptable Time for Friday. J.L.’s original resolution for the year was simply to read A Wrinkle in Time and see the film adaptation. Kudos to J.L. for going for the extra points! Check out her review!

Book Club

Make sure that you’re reading The Sunlight Pilgrims for this month’s book club discussion!

And that, my little snow angels and demons, is that. As always, I hope that you have a marvelous weekend, and that you’re able to take some time for yourself to do something that brings you great joy. Happy Hogswatch!
