Good afternoon! It’s the weekend! Happy weekend, everyone! No time to chat! Let us just embark on our weekly tour through the week that was.
Monday
My Favorite Things featured an appearance from Editor-in-Chic Shara White! Shara’s an incredibly busy soul these days, but she took a few minutes to sing the praises of the things she loves most right now. What are those things, you ask? “…a Chic-approved author, movies that wreck you, the return of violent delights, the soul of a city, a book she loves so much she can’t read it again, and mommy issues.” Find out more here! (Beware spoilers.)
Tuesday
Merrin continues her journey through N.K. Jemisin’s incredible archive of fiction with this week’s look at short fiction from the world of The Inheritance Trilogy. Check out her thoughts here!
At last, we spoke of That Movie. Yes, our Sound Off! for Infinity War was released to the world on Tuesday afternoon. Here‘s the place to read our reactions! Agree? Disagree? Have so many feelings that you cannot contain them? Please feel free to hop in with a comment to tell us!
Wednesday
Kendra Merritt shared a review of Spies, Lies, and Allies with us on Wednesday. Go read her spoiler-free review to find out what she thought about this charming-sounding novel!
Thursday
Venessa Giunta delivered the second half of her piece on all of the upcoming Stephen King adaptations (read part one here). Take a look at the television adaptations that are (hopefully!) coming down the pike right here!
Friday
For our monthly roundtable, I posed this question to our contributors: Who is your favorite villain? They responded enthusiastically! Bonus! A certain actor is mentioned more than once! Read the post to find out who!
Book Club
Are you reading Dragonsbane? You should be! Have you voted for July’s selection yet? Go vote!
And that’s that. What are your big plans for the rest of your weekend? Sunday is Mother’s Day in the USA, and I’m sure that some of you are going to be celebrating. I wish you pleasant weather, tasty meals, and good times with people you love. If you’re not celebrating, that’s OK. I’m focusing instead on my own personal upcoming holiday on May 18: Deadpool Day! I…may be a little overexcited for this movie. I may have taken a day off from the day job with the intent of spending the day at the theater. I’ll never tell.
See you next week, folks!
