Keyes is an Air Force brat, a second generation gamer, a third generation sci-fi and fantasy buff, and was born on a fighter base in the American southwest to parents whose first date was to see the original Star Wars during its initial theatrical run. She has lived in six American states and Europe, can order beer in four languages (which she otherwise does not speak), and at six informed her first grade class that she wished to be Auntie Entity (as played by Tina Turner in Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome) when she grew up. Keyes believes this information tells you most of what you need to know about her. Currently, she is an attorney in the Jersey-side suburbs of New York City, where she resides with her husband (who she met on a Final Fantasy fan-site forum) and their two cats, Beau and Tali’Zorah.
